There are times in life's journey that we simply need to disengage...to unplug.  Time to stop. look, and listen. To quit our activity and just stand there...marvel...wonder!  On this journey, God goes with us, and we need to open our eyes and ears or we will miss the whole experience.  We might even miss God.  Would a little awe, wonder, majesty hurt us?  We call these rare encounters with God such as the three disciples has with Jesus that day on the mountaintop a "theophany".  And the test of any theophany is what it does to you--the change it makes in you.

It's a nice lesson.  A warning, really, in our journey with God, pay attention. Life is short.  Let's enjoy getting there!
