God, in His mercy, loves the whole world. You, me, others, and all the various bits and pieces in creation.  The good, the bad, the ugly.  Lent is a season during which we spend time in self-reflection, honest assessment of ourselves, confession, and sacrifice.  Here we meet God.  And we discover that God loves us so much, that He gave His only Son...not to condemn the world, but to save it.  The WHOLE world.  Not just a few.  God will one day have His way with the world, and that is good news, not bad.
